Making great things out of nothing

Making great things out of nothing

The Almighty God, who created the universe out of nothing, is able to make unknown persons great.

🎯Elijah, the great prophet was first introduced in the Scripture as Elijah the Thisbite, no mention of his father’s name as was the case of other great men in the Bible.

💥Yet, he audaciously decreed drought to King Ahab and after three and half years of suffering in the land, God told him to go show himself up to the King, who wanted him dead.

🎯 And in another audacious move, Elijah sent Obadiah, the governor of the King’s house, to tell his boss, “Behold, Elijah is here.”

🎯In Hannah’s prayer of thanksgiving, she said “He lifts the poor from the dust and the needy from the garbage dump. He sets them among princes, placing them in seats of honor. For all the earth is the LORD’s, and he has set the world in order.”

🎯Samuel, the boy who didn’t know God’s voice, became so powerful that at one time when he visited Bethlehem, the elders of the city trembled.

🎯David, the shepherd boy, who was ignored by his father, became the person to save Israel from Goliath.

🎯Peter, a failed fisherman, became a powerful man whose shadow could heal the sick.

🎯And Paul, the chief of sinners, became a powerful man whose handkerchiefs were used to perform miracles.

🎯The touch of God can transform anybody, catapult them into greatness.

🎯His children – those who have surrendered to him – are described as a chosen generation.

🎯They are not just chosen, they are chosen onto royalty, and priests of the Most High

🎯If you are one of them you are a peculiar person because the God, who is so big that the Heavens and earth cannot contain, dwells in you; and like Elijah, you can tell your enemy, “I am here.”

🎯But the biggest reason you can confront your enemy is that you have obtained mercy from God.

🎯And you have become indestructible because, “greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world.”

🎯Better still, unlike the devil, He does not abandon His children.
