It was the search for a solution to crisis that made Pastor Enoch Adeboye join a Pentecostal church, which he now leads.

💥Then the longest he could fast was for one day.

💥He said during the Special Sunday Service of the Redeemed Christian Church of God yesterday that later when someone prescribed a three-day dry fasting for him, he shouted that the person wanted him dead.

💥But faced with the challenges of the church when he became a leader, nobody told him to do a 40-day dry fasting, which he did successfully with good results.

🎯He also recalled how in one particular year he did that 3 times.

🎯He used his example to illustrate the fact that crisis could be a signal that one is about to rise higher.

🎯He cited physical examples:

💥An eagle makes its nest uncomfortable for its eaglets when they are of age to be independent so they can leave.

🎯The womb becomes uncomfortable for both the fetus and the mother when child birth draws near.

🎯He also cited examples from the Scriptures:

💥God had directed Elijah to go stay by Brook Cherith to be fed by ravens mornings and evenings.

💥But, with time, the brook dried up because of the drought Elijah had decreed, signaling it was time to move on as directed again by God.

💥It was during a crisis that Isaac heard from God directly for the first time.

💥It was during the period of national mourning of Moses that Joshua was appointed by God himself to lead Israel.

🎯Crisis is a basic ingredient for moving to higher levels, Pastor Adeboye said.

🎯Crisis makes you turn to God and pray harder, and as His child, when you pray, he hears.

🎯The Scripture says, “All things work together for the good of those who love God-those whom he has called according to his plan…”

🎯And that is why it also says “In everything give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”

🎯You don’t have to wait to be in crisis before you go to the Lord.

💥Elijah was His servant so when crisis came (the brook dried up) God again took care of him by directing him on what to do.

🎯You have to surrender to Him now and be His child before crisis comes.
