Charles Soludo, candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), has taken an early lead in the Anambra governorship election.

The election which was held on Saturday was affected by technical glitches, the late arrival of electoral officials and materials, among other issues.

As the results trickle in from various local government areas (LGAs), Soludo has taken a commanding lead in seven LGAs.

He has won Njikoka, Anambra East, Onitsha South, Anaocha, Awka South and Orumba South.
