26 May When we have to shut up!
Oftentimes we talk too much!
🎯And when God gets ready to bless us, our mouths come in the way mumbling doubts and inadequacy.
💥We complain we don’t have enough money, we don’t have enough education; we were raised in the village by poor parents.
💥Pastor Enoch Adeboye had all those setbacks, but they become setups.
💥Bishop TD Jakes had them too.
🎯What we fail to accept is that sometimes, what God wants to do for us has no precedence; never happened in our family before.
🎯Zakariah, father of John the Baptist, had the same experience and he complained to an Angel of God.
🎯But when God handled him, He put him in a position where he couldn’t mess up His blessings.
💥He shut his mouth up!
🎯God is in the business of shattering norms, breaking routines.
🎯When Angel Gabriel visited Zakariah in the Inner Temple, he was still giving excuses, lecturing a messenger of the Lord why he couldn’t have a child.
💥But the baby’s name had already been chosen.
💥And because God didn’t want His plan derailed by a frustrated old man, He shut his mouth.
🎯God’s promises are real and true, no matter how impossible they look.
🎯We are expected to trust Him and keep our mouths shut or have them shut; or worse still rob ourselves with doubt and careless talk.
