13 Apr There is power in service!
Although it is difficult to understand God fully because His ways are higher than our ways, some characteristics of His are noticeable.
🎯Powerful and as fearsome as He is, He has a great sense of humour.
💥For example, in the story of Elijah, who was sent to a brook to be fed by birds during a famine he had decreed, he was later sent to a widow at Zarephath to provide his meals after the brook dried up.
💥Strangely, the widow was a poor woman who was about to cook her last meal and die from the famine.
💥So, obviously the encounter was to benefit her more.
😉For Elijah, it was an opportunity to serve.
🎯We know we are rising higher in life when we begin to help others; when we become a blessing to others.
🎯Promotion comes with responsibility; and to lead is to serve.
🎯So ministers of God are promoted to serve others and not for them to lord it over others; anointing is for service; and with service comes greater promotion.
💥Elisha was a successful farmer with his father when Elijah chose him as a servant.
💥And he served so diligently that he succeeded his master as the prophet and also a father of nations.
🎯For every child of God, there is the potential for greatness, which is triggered by service or even crisis.
🎯There is something in children of God far bigger than they know.
🎯That power is manifested when we surrender to God to serve for Him to dwell is us with all His power.
