Lagos State Commissioner of Police (CP) Hakeem Odumosu has described as mischievous reports that the command has given go-ahead for #ENDSARS memorial protests in the state. He insists the position of the police banning all forms of protests was still in order, urging residents to disregard the falsehood.

* At least 10 armed bandits were on Monday killed by security forces in in Kwanan Bataru, on the outskirts of Fatika in Giwa local government area of Kaduna state.

* At least eight terrorists of the Islamic State West Africa (ISWAP) and Boko Haram have been killed in an encounter with troops of Operation Hadin Kai, Nigeria’s counter terrorism operation in the North-east.

* Gunmen on Sunday night attacked Ohaukwu Police Headquarters at 135, Ezzamgbo, Ohaukwu local government area, Ebonyi state killing a police sergeant. They set the station and two vehicles at the station ablaze.

* The Federal Government has filed an amended seven-count charge against Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra. (IPOB). The amended charge which was filed by the Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice on Monday, borders on treasonable felony. Kanu’s lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor in a statement on Facebook, acknowledged receiving the amended charge.
