11 Sep ….Sanwo-Olu Signs VAT Bill Into Law
Lagos state Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has signed the State Value Added Tax Bill passed by the House of Assembly into law.
The law empowers the state government to collect value added tax in Lagos state.

The Commissioner of Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, disclosed this in a statement on Friday.
“The governor signed the ‘bill for a law to impose and charge VAT on certain goods and services’ at about 11:45am today, after returning from an official trip to Abuja.

“By this act, the bill has now become a law”, said Omotoso.
The Lagos State House of Assembly on Wednesday, 9th September, passed the bill and thereafter transmitted a copy to the governor for assent.
