Of prophecy and manifestation

Of prophecy and manifestation

In the story of Elijah and King Arab, God told the prophet to go show himself to the king and He would send rain to end the three-and-half years of drought.

💥But between the promise and the rain so many things happened over time – there was the Mt Carmel challenge, among others.

🎯The takeaway: God doesn’t show the full picture at one go.
His messages are given in bits – a little at a time.

🎯If He has given instruction, we don’t have to assume the next step; we have to wait for further instructions.

💥He sent Samuel, a highly respected prophet, to go and anoint Saul’s successor in Jesse’s house.

💥Without waiting for further instructions, he almost anointed the wrong person.

🎯Saul had himself fallen out with God when he didn’t wait for Samuel to perform a planned sacrifice.

🎯We should be patient when dealing with God – we have to wait.

🎯Between God’s promise and manifestation, there could be what may seem to us as delay.

🎯There is time lag between seed time (sowing) and harvest.

🎯But once God has spoken, it is done.

🎯The Scripture says, “Forever, oh Lord, your word is settled.”

💥A popular scripture on this is in the book of Habakkuk: “For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.”

🎯When God makes a promise, only the beneficiary himself can stop it or make God change His mind, when he goes into sin.

🎯Miracles belong to the children of God – reason we should surrender completely to Him, or repent when we backslide.
