Investors in Nigerian equities made N1.93 trillion in capital gains in October 2020, sustaining a four-month consecutive upswing.  The market recorded its best monthly gain since 2018 on the continued inflow of funds searching for real returns and positive reactions to the better-than-expected third quarter(Q3) and nine months earnings so far released.

Average year-to-date return rose to  13.74 per cent, representing net capital gains of N1.78 trillion for the 10-month period ended October 2020.

Nigerian equities surged to their highest prices in 16 months at the weekend when most global stocks were in the red.
