How destiny makes us who we are.

How destiny makes us who we are.

There is no question about God’s ability to determine who we are to be.

🎯When God faulted Elijah’s claim that he was the only one left, He announced that there were indeed 7,000 men still loyal to Him.

🎯Why He chose Elisha, a career farmer, as Elijah’s successor, was clearly his own decision, which may have been made before he was even born.

🎯God told Jeremiah, “ Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”

💥So He obviously knew Elisha at the early stage, just like He does all of us.

🎯God has a pre-determined purpose for each of us and specifically wires us to achieve our respective purposes.

🎯Moses’ purpose was to deliver a nation from bondage.

🎯Joshua’s was to complete the work Moses started, despite the fact of the two men who were sent to spy on Canaan, it was Caleb who spoke first on their return. Joshua spoke on the second day.

🎯We need to pray for God to confirm our purpose on earth.

💥Elisha was busy on the farm when he was born to be a prophet, so powerful that kings would call him father.

💥Peter was tolling for fish when he should be fisher of men.

🎯We don’t seem to have a say in God’s determination of our purpose and destiny.

🎯But we do have a say in the fulfillment of our purpose.

🎯God has placed before us the choice of life and death, and advised us to choose life so we will live to see our purpose fulfilled.

🎯There is permission to go with the Will of God or insist on our own Will but the later has sad consequences.
