The largely virtual Federal Executive Council meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja was presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari.

* The Council approved the resumption of the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) land swap plan with amendments. Minister of FCT, Mohammed Bello, said the plan, which was put at about N1 trillion under the previous dispensation, was designed to remedy the infrastructure deficit in the FCT by swapping land with private investors who would in turn provide necessary infrastructure.

* Works and Housing Minister, Babatunde Fashola, presented a note to the Council on the need for increased road safety awareness because majority of accidents are not caused by bad roads. The Council agreed on the role of drivers in accident prevention starting from education and certification for more level and adopted multidisciplinary activity from the Ministry of Education, Ministry of lnformation, FRSC, state and local governments
