Green Africa receives operating certificate

Green Africa Airways, a Nigerian start-up carrier, on Monday, received its air operator’s certificate (AOC) from the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA). It said it would start its first official commercial flight on Thursday, August 12.

With this certificate, Green Africa would be able to commence operations in accordance with its initial route network unveiled earlier in June.

The network focuses on its Lagos base and comprises six domestic destinations, including Abuja, Port Harcourt, Akure, Ilorin, Enugu and Owerri.

In June, Green Africa had suspended ticket bookings due to the delay in the issuance of its AOC by the NCAA for its inaugural flights.
