Godwin Emefiele, governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), says the commencement of the Lagos Free Zone (LFZ) will help decongest the Apapa and Tin Can Island Ports in Lagos.

He said this when he visited the facility at Itoke village, Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos, on Saturday.

Dinesh Rathi, chief executive officer (CEO), Lagos Free Zone (LFZ) described the zone as an ideal destination for industrial investment, not only in Nigeria but also in the entire West African sub-region.

Promoted by Singapore based Tolaram, the LFZ covers an area of 830 hectares.
