Nigeria recorded 766 new cases and 1 death on Saturday, but 595 patients were discharged. So, there are now 247775 confirmed cases; with 218427 recoveries and 3071 deaths.

The new cases were reported from 13 States as follows: Lagos (261), Anambra (208), Rivers (159), Kaduna (42), Gombe (25), FCT (20), Osun (19), Oyo (14), Bauchi (5), Kano (5), Ekiti (4), Ebonyi (2) and Ogun (2)

* The United Kingdom’s official death toll from the COVID-19 pandemic rose above 150,000 on Saturday, following a record wave of cases caused by the Omicron variant.
