25 Jul COVID-19 Update: New cases in Nigeria fall, one death recorded.

On Saturday, Nigeria reported 272 new cases and one death, taking the caseload to 170895 confirmed cases, 164788 recoveries and 2132 deaths.

The new cases are reported from 9 states- Lagos (182), Rivers (34), Ondo(24), Oyo (10), Abia (7), Ogun (7), Ekiti (5), Delta (2), and Plateau(1)

*Pfizer Inc and German partner BioNTech said on Friday the U.S. government has purchased 200 million additional doses of their COVID-19 vaccine to help with pediatric vaccination as well as possible booster shots – if they are needed.
