Nigeria recorded 536 new cases, 482 patients discharged, and 2 deaths on Saturday, raising the national tally to 242,877 infections, 214,778 recoveries and 3033 deaths

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said the cases reported include a backlog of 58 infections from Rivers state for December 31, 2021.

The new cases were reported 12 states and the FCT as follows: Lagos (259); Rivers (90); Oyo (46) Edo (43), Kaduna (29), FCT (25), Cross River (12), Nasarawa (10), Osun (6), Gombe (5), Kano (5), Ogun (5) and Jigawa (1).
