President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday, met behind closed doors with his Ghanaian counterpart, Nana Akufo-Addo, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Akufo-Addo is the current Chairman of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

Details of yesterday’s meeting were not disclosed but the Ghanaian leader was elected by the 57th Ordinary Session of the Authority of Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) as the new Chairman of the Authority on September 9, 2020.
