🌍 FEC Meeting Highlights: The meeting presided over by President Buhari yesterday approved contracts worth over N45 billion for various road, power and water projects.

Highlights include the following approvals:

* N31.629 billion as an additional cost to the initial N66.831 billion contract awarded to Julius Berger for the completion of roads B6, B12 and Circular Road in Central Area District, Abuja.

* N8.180 billion for the maintenance of 10 roads in different parts of the country.

* N4.7 billion as consultancy fee for the management and supervision of ongoing construction of Zungeru power project; extension of the contract time for the consultancy service in the project management and supervision of the ongoing construction of Zungeru at the power project in the sum of 3.5 US dollars and N3. 4 billion equivalent to N4. 7 billion.

* N627,600 for procurement of field materials for water treatment by the FCT and another N200 million for water treatment with the completion period of 12 months.

🌍 Oil Monitor: Oil extended gains on Thursday in light holiday trade as a drop in U.S. stockpiles spurred demand hopes, while hints of an imminent Brexit deal underpinned investors’ risk appetite. Brent crude futures rose 17 cents, or 0.3%, to $51.37 a barrel by 0745 GMT
