Marcus Lamb, head of Christian network Daystar, who has been a vocal opponent of the coronavirus vaccine, has died of COVID-19. *One of the two largest Christian television networks in the world, Daystar has over 70 stations reaching 100 million U.S. households nationwide and 680 million households across over 200 countries, according to the network’s website.
*So, it was big issue as it made controversial statements about the pandemic; promoted misinformation about the virus and vaccines, urged people to rethink getting vaccinated and raising concerns about vaccine mandates; and encouraging unapproved treatments for COVID-19, including ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine.
* His son, Jonathan, said on a Nov. 23 broadcast that he believed his dad’s illness was a “spiritual attack from the enemy.”

🌍President Muhammadu Buhari will later today leave Abuja for the Expo 2020 Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), which also celebrates the 50th anniversary of its founding today.

🌍Oil Monitor: Prices rose on Thursday, more than recouping the previous day’s losses, as investors adjusted positions ahead of an OPEC+ decision over supply policy, but gains were capped amid fears the Omicron coronavirus variant will hurt fuel demand. Brent crude futures rose $1.24, or 1.8%, to $70.11 by 0748 GMT, having eased 0.5% in the previous session.
