🌎The Airline Operators of Nigeria have announced plans to disrupt scheduled flight operations over the scarcity of aviation fuel. The announcement was contained in a statement titled, ‘Public notice: Disruptions in flight operations’, on Monday.

🌎The Nigerian Ports Authority has warned that Tin Can Island port is collapsing, and called for more attention on rehabilitating it. Speaking over the weekend, the Managing Director of NPA, Mohammed Bello-Koko, said “Tin-Can Island Port is practically collapsing. We need to focus our budget towards the rehabilitation of those quay walls at the Tin-Can port.”

🌎Oil prices fell on Monday, paring early gains as investors took profit following a surge in the previous session even as the European Union prepares an import ban on Russian crude and with limited increase in OPEC output. * Suspected arsonists razed the council headquarters of Idemili North Local Government Area, Anambra State, Nigeria’s South-east at about 2 a.m. on Monday.
* At least five persons including two police officers were killed, while others sustained injuries, when gunmen ambushed a police convoy at Idema- Otuabagi Road, Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State on Saturday.
* A yet-to-be-identified policeman has been shot dead in Eke Oko, Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State. It was gathered that the victim, who was on a motorcycle was intercepted by the gunmen and shot dead instantly.

🌎Russia-Ukraine War: A Ukrainian unit fighting north of Kharkiv says it has reached the Russian border. Russian forces are retreating from the north following Ukraine’s counteroffensive but are intensifying attacks in the east.
