Minister for Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, has declared his interest to contest the 2023 Presidency of Nigeria, under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He made the declaration on Saturday at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt, venue of the Rivers APC Thanksgiving service.

* The Serving Overseer of the Citadel Global Community Church, Pastor Tunde Bakare, on Saturday, declared his intention to vie for Nigeria’s oval office and succeed the President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.

* Politicians of the Peoples Democratic Party in the South insist the next president must come from the region.
