15 Oct Help from unexpected places
Sometimes help comes from unexpected sources, arranged by God.
🎯In the story of the retrieval of what David lost to the Amalekites, we seem to ignore one success factor.
🎯When God told him to pursue the enemy, he was faced with the issues of where they where to go? What they were they to do?
🎯At that critical time, God provided answers from an unexpected source.
🎯They found an Egyptian who just happened to have the specific background and information David needed.
🎯He had been used and abandoned by the Amalekites to die.
🎯When God is at work in our situation, every bit of His provision is vital
🎯David could have ignored the Egyptian who was dying anyway
🎯But by feeding him, they got the precise intelligence, they needed to recover everything and every one the Amalekites had carried away.
🎯Obviously God planted him there.
🎯The Bible reminds us to commit our ways to God, confident that He will guide us. Being sensitive to His Spirit and open to His leading.
💥Because He might guide us in surprising ways we don’t expect.
💥He can bring unlikely people into our lives.
💥He can open doors that seem closed.
💥Or He can give us insights from unanticipated sources.
