28 Jul Your wealth as God’s Platform
At the lake where Peter was fishing, Jesus saw 2 boats and one of them belonged to Peter.
🎯Fishing was his business, although he had toiled all night and caught nothing.
🎯But Jesus saw the boat as a platform.
🎯Whatever God has given you, is to be used as a platform.
🎯Your gifts, your skills are His platform
🎯If Peter had said NO to Jesus, when He needed the boat to preach, it would have closed the door to his purpose
🎯He was a sinner who did not see Jesus as significant.
🎯But Jesus needed the boat to preach to people.
🎯Whatever opportunity God has given you is for His platform not for your greed.
🎯If you hold on tightly without giving back to Him, you will lose it.
🎯The other lesson from the encounter was that the Bible text was silent on the sermon Jesus preached.
💥That is because sometimes, what is done is more important than what is said – lives that change, like Peter’s.
🎯He was washing his net because it was over.
🎯But a new thing was about to happen, as it happens to people with endurance.
🎯Jesus told him to fish deeper, which didn’t make sense.
🎯But sometimes what God has for you is in the deep.
🎯You have to believe in yourself to go into the deep, invest more in the Lord
🎯God can give you something for which you have no reference; and not based on anything you know.
🎯He can use what you have put away to bless you.
🎯Give Him what you have – money, skill, time, and He can break your net with blessing.
