Trump says Biden won the US election and backtracks

President Donald Trump for the first time, on Sunday, briefly acknowledged losing the U.S. election in Twitter post but then backtracked, saying he concedes “nothing” and vowing to keep up a court fight that election-law experts say is unlikely to succeed. In a series of tweets later he resorted to conspiracy theories to justify his position.

President-elect Joe Biden, however, focused on the coronavirus pandemic, setting meetings with vaccine developers as the crisis intensifies. U.S. President Donald Trump on Sunday acknowledged that his Democratic opponent, Joe Biden, won the race.

Trump, who has refused to concede defeat, has filed several lawsuits in battleground states, alleging widespread voter fraud. Also many of the cases have been thrown out, he continues to bank on them for his second term.
