The Wealth of God’s Mercy!

The Wealth of God’s Mercy!

All the resources of the universe God created are His, but the Scripture takes particular notice of His mercy. It says God is rich in mercy.

🎯It is by His mercy that we are not consumed in the harsh conditions we live in, even with about 2 years of the Coronavirus epidemic.

🎯It was by His mercy that for three and half years of drought, decreed by Elijah, King Ahab and his subjects did not perish.

🎯It was by His mercy that they were forgiven on Mt Carmel after the stubborn idol worshippers surrendered and bowed down to His power, shouting “the Lord is God.”

🎯God has ample reason to forsake us because of our sins but He tempers justice with mercy

🎯His mercy is why He is slow to anger

🎯But the Scripture says He exercises freedom in deciding receipts of mercy.

💥Not all traders sell out their perishable fruits; not all students excel; not all hardworking people are great achievers.

🎯Achievements we often boast of are possible by His mercy and it is the reason those who refuse to acknowledge that lose out .

🎯Out of His mercy, He creates opportunities for us to show mercy to others; and He is bound by His nature to show us mercy when we do that.

🎯He also expects beneficiaries of His mercy to witness to bring others to repentance.

💥We are saved to bring salvation to others.

🎯People who are merciful receive mercy, but the wicked turn Him off.

🎯By His mercy he spares repentant individuals; and even nations.

💥He spared Niniveh, against the wishes of runaway Jonah.

🎯Such is the wealth and reach of God’s mercy, which is available to all who surrender to Him.
