The Monday Devotional: Praising God in times of crisis.

The Monday Devotional: Praising God in times of crisis.

True lovers and friends of God praise Him under every circumstance.
🎯They praise God for His blessings when the going is good
🎯They praise Him in even in bad times
🎯What type of friendship do you have with God: True friend or fair-weather friend?
🎯Are you like Job who said, “Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him… “
🎯Are you like David, who also said, “I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. “
🎯David said the reason he would bless God at all times is that His mercy is high above the heavens
🎯God answers those who praise Him in times of crisis. He does!
🎯The Scripture says, “Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed because His compassions fail not. They are there every morning.”
🎯In times of crisis, it may also be necessary to look at the full picture.
💥Even in the COVID-19 crisis, although every death is painful, the percentage of recoveries is far higher (about 96%).
🎯We should be grateful that even in God’s judgment, He still shows mercy
🎯If you can praise Him in times of crisis to show you are not a fair-weather friend, He will help you- like He did in the prison to free Paul and Silas; and He did for King Jehoshaphat when the armies of 3 powerful neighbours laid siege on his people.
🎯The Almighty God is able to help you in every situation when you praise Him in times of crisis too.
🎯Praise God at all times, but your praise only makes sense when you have surrendered your life to Him.

– From the sermon of Pastor Enoch Adeboye at the RCCG Special Sunday Service, yesterday.
