19 Dec The choice of God’s presence
Our relationship with God seems to be driven by what we want from Him – prosperity, healing, miracles, etc.
🎯And there is the tendency for us to abandon Him when we are doing well, when we get what we want.
🎯But He created us to have a relationship with us.
🎯And He promises to be with us. Therefore, being in His presence, worshiping and praising Him should drive our relationship with Him.
🎯Dependence of earthly things is risky because the devil can take them away.
🎯But if we love God, nobody can take Him from us.
🎯He even promises to be with us in difficult times.
🎯The presence of God got us what you have anyway.
🎯The importance of being in God’s presence is why He says seek ye first the kingdom of God and all other things will be added unto you.
🎯Can we be grateful sick, lonely or broke? We should!
🎯He tests our love for Him from time to time and gives us more
🎯Even at a point, His provision demands that we get involved – get our hands in.
🎯It doesn’t mean God is not present but He wants us to know that what comes easy is short-lived.
💥Honeymoon is sweet and easier than the ordeals of the rest of marriage, but that is why it is short.
🎯After years of feeding the Israelites with mana and meat, a time came they had to get involved – provide for themselves but He was still present to help them.
🎯As it was in the past, so is it now.
🎯We have to seek and enjoy His presence for His presents, blessing, to follow.
