The Lagos State Police Command has said it will investigate the death of Kambilichukwu, the first son of Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie.

News about the unfortunate death of Kambilichukwu surfaced online On Thursday morning.

He was said to have developed a seizure while playing football with his colleagues in school and was rushed to Mother and Child hospital in Lagos, where he was confirmed dead.

Lagos Police Spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, told the  BBC  that there is an ongoing investigation to unravel the cause of Kambilichukwu’s demise.

Hundeyin said Edochie reported the incident at a police station close to him.

The Spokesperson added that there is also a need to conduct an autopsy to know the cause of his death.

“He has reported the case and we have started our investigation.

“It will be entered into the criminal investigation department. We will investigate what led to the boy’s death.

“There’s a need to carry out an autopsy to know what really happened. We can’t really say what happened until the autopsy is done but the incident happened at his school,” Hundeyin stated.
