One of the big challenges of running the God race is when others want us to be what we are not born to be;

🎯When we are forced to live our lives to please them.

🎯When we live to please others, and not God who gives us our special assignments and gifts to accomplish them, it could lead to derailment of purpose.

🎯We earn the label of people-pleasers when we live our lives to please others for approval.

🎯People-pleasers are so invested in outside approval that they abandon their God-given purpose and their own wants and needs.

🎯They would rather do that which would earn them approval from others, even when it wreaks havoc on God’s plan for them or their own best-laid plans.

🎯People-pleasers often sabotage their own goals.

🎯Studies show that people-pleasers engage in self-destructive behaviour if they think it will make other people like them.

🎯They live artificial lives that rob them of true happiness and joy.

🎯It is fake and confused life that leaves us in endless frustration.

🎯Parents, teachers and guardians who force their kids into professions of their own choice, rather than who God has wired them to do, are getting wiser!
