NNPC urges calm as fuel scarcity continues in Abuja, others

There are still long queues in Abuja as over 90 per cent of fuel stations are shut in the Federal Capital Territory.

But the spokesperson for Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Kennie Obateru said there was no need for panic buying, insisting that “NNPC has over 2 billion litres of premium motor spirit in stock to guarantee steady supply and at least 60 -day-product supply sufficiency.”

Many of the stations were shut from Monday evening. In the scarcity black marketers have emerged, selling fuel in street corners.
