The Federal Government has inaugurated a committee on enrolment of newly recruited civil servants on the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System (IPPIS) to checkmate employment fraud in ministries, departments and agencies.

Inaugurating the committee on Monday in Abuja, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Folasade Yemi-Esan, bemoaned incidents of sharp practices. She noted that a large number of fake appointment letters were being discovered in some ministries.

She said if not properly addressed, it would deny a great number of prospective and eligible law-abiding job seekers of employment.

Director Press, OHCSF, AbdulGaniyu Aminu, said the office was already collaborating with security agencies to investigate and bring to book, those behind the shameful practices.

The chairman of the committee and permanent secretary, Career Management, OHCSF, Mamman Mahmuda, said the committee would carry out it assignment with all sense of responsibility.
