The NCDC confirmed 151 new cases on Friday; a day the World Health Organization reported record number of new coronavirus cases, raising more questions about the rate of testing in Nigeria.

The World Health Organization (WHO) reported record number of new coronavirus cases on Friday, and urged European countries to curb the spike in cases on the continent.
WHO reported a record number of over 350,000 cases in a single day. The organization also reported a total of 36,361,054 cases, although its officials have said this is a vast undercount and estimate there are likely many times that number of cases. WHO reported 6,339 new deaths Friday, for a total of 1,056,186 deaths so far in the pandemic.
