Nigeria, on Friday, reported 236 new cases and 1 death. So, there are now 251,930 confirmed cases, 225,906 recoveries and 3124 deaths in the country.

The new cases were reported from 10 states and the FCT: Lagos (90), Gombe (66), FCT (29), Delta (12), Kaduna (11), Osun (10), Kano (8), Rivers (7), Ekiti (1), Nasarawa (1) and Oyo (1)

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has made repeat tests mandatory in Nigeria after a review of COVID-19 test positivity data among returnees to Nigeria during the first and subsequent waves of the pandemic. NCDC Director-General  Dr Ifedayo Adetifa, said on Friday that no fewer than 18,000 positive cases of the coronavirus disease were detected from inbound travellers to Nigeria.
