At the FEC Meeting on Wednesday

The Federal Executive Council (FEC) presided over by President Buhari made the following approvals:
* N1.6billion for the establishment of the e-Government Procurement Platform to address corrupt practices in the government’s procurement system.

* Nigeria’s contribution of two million dollars for the West African Power Pool (WAPP); all ECOWAS countries had been contributing annually to the cost of transmission of electricity in the region, since the establishment of WAPP in 1999.

* N22.247 billion for the reconstruction of Apapa-Oworonshoki-Ojota Expressway Phase Section Two under Infrastructural Tax Credit Scheme

* An additional N8 billion approved for the dualisation of the 560-kilometre Kano-Maiduguri Road, which will bring the total cost of the contract to N63 billion.

* N1.208 billion for the purchase and installation of security equipment at seven stations of the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) along Abuja-Kaduna-Kano lines.
