🌎Nigeria to invest more in infrastructure and other facilities for safe, secure, environmentally friendly and sustainable civil aviation, according to President Buhari. He spoke Tuesday while receiving the Secretary-General of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), Juan Carlos Salazar, at the State House, Abuja.

🌎African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) has signed a deal with the African Petroleum Producers Organisation (APPO) for the creation of an energy bank to cater to the energy needs of the continent as a result of declining global investment in the oil and gas sector.

🌎Oil prices edged up on Wednesday on expectations that easing COVID-19 restrictions in China will push up demand and as industry data showed drawdowns in U.S crude inventories. Brent crude was up 23 cents, or 0.2%, at $112.16 a barrel at 0633 GMT.

🌎FG has told Facebook and other social media platforms to stop allowing the Indigenous People of Biafra from using their platforms to allegedly incite violence and instigate ethnic hatred in Nigeria.

🌎Security Stories: Gunmen have written letters to nine local government areas in Anambra State to be attacked soon. The councils are Ihiala, Aguata, Nnewi South, Awka North, Awka South, Idemili North, Idemili South, Orumba South, Orumba North and Anambra East.
* Bandits on Tuesday evening reportedly abducted scores of passengers in an operation that lasted almost an hour on the Abuja-Kaduna highway.

🌎Russia-Ukraine War: Talks between Russia and Ukraine to end the war are on hold, both sides confirm. Russia says Ukraine has “practically withdrawn” from the negotiations, while Kyiv blames Moscow for failing to compromise.
*Finland and Sweden formally applied to join NATO on Wednesday, prompted by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and triggering one of the most significant changes in Europe’s security architecture in decades.
