President Buhari has directed the Ministry of Aviation to reorganize the agencies under its watch to conform with the new Civil Aviation Act recently signed into law.
* He has reiterated his commitment to handing over leadership to an elected president on May 29, 2023, saying his term in office will end on that day in line with the 1999 constitution of Nigeria.
* Yesterday, he presented yet another award to the Chairman of BUA Group, Abdul Samad Rabiu, on Monday at the instance of the Nigerian Army.
* Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh hailed the development of bilateral ties between Vietnam and Nigeria, while receiving Vice President of Nigeria Yemi Osinbajo in Hanoi on December 5. Osinbajo hailed Vietnam as a strategic partner and wished to expand economic cooperation with the country.
* Represented at an event in Abuja, VP Osinbajo has said the Federal Government is planning to review the university autonomy laws.

🌍Oil Monitor: Prices rebounded on Tuesday after plunging by more than 3% in the previous session, as the implementation of sanctions on Russian seaborne crude oil eased concerns about oversupply while the relaxing of China’s COVID curbs bolstered the demand outlook. Brent crude futures had gained 85 cents to $83.53 a barrel by 0733 GMT
* Minister Timipre Sylva has expressed optimism that Nigeria would meet its OPEC crude oil production quota of 1.8 million bpd by the end of May 2023, as it continued efforts to end oil theft.
* Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited has signed five memoranda of understanding with the national oil companies and relevant entities of five African countries on Nigeria-Morocco Gas Pipeline Project
* The Nigerian Navy on Sunday refuted reports claiming that its official accused the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) of insincerity and exaggeration of oil theft figures.

🌍The Senate Committee of Appropriation met with Finance Minister Zainab Ahmed over allegations of budget padding yesterday and commended her for “ensuring transparency with capturing of such loans or grants in the budget.”

🌍The Debt Management Office (DMO) on Monday said it has successfully raised N130 billion in 10-year Sovereign Al ’Ijarah Sukuk, N30 billion more than it initially proposed to raise. (5) The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) says 92.6 million Nigerians have been enrolled into the national identity number (NIN) database, with Lagos and Kano as the top states with the highest enrolment.

🌍Russia-Ukraine War: The fresh wave of missile strikes in Ukraine have hit energy infrastructure facilities and caused power cuts across the country
* Russian missiles hit buildings in the Zaporizhzhia region, destroying several houses and killing at least two people; and Ukraine warned there would be emergency blackouts once again in several regions as it repaired damage from missile attacks it said destroyed homes and knocked out power, while Moscow accused Kyiv of attacking deep inside Russia with drones
